I have trouble believing that this animal is a sub guardian. It is the hardest sub guardian I can remember throughout the metroid universe. But my memory is going so dont take my word for it. First of all, you need to scan it, or you'll have trouble just hitting it. The scan will recognize weak points as the eye and the back. Now this boss requires you have good footwork and a fast trigger finger, or itll take a lot of practice. Stay in the safe zone as much as possible or your energy will be gone before you know it. Now, dash around the guardian and shoot it in the eye with the power beam (charged or rapid fire), but dont waist your light or dark ammo (especially dark cause its the least effective) on it. It will eventually get mad and shoot the grapple beam at you. Use the pillar on either side of the room as a shield and when it stops and stalls, dash quickly behind it while charging a power beam blast, and shoot it square in the back. I doubt a super missile will be fast enough, but you can try it. After this it will go back to just trying to ram you again, so you wont be able to shoot it in the back. Go back to shooting his eye until he shoots the grapple again, and then repeat process. After a while, the plating on his back should come off, and he will now cause damage with just a touch because he somehow got electrified. So, what you do is dash around him as fast as you can, then shoot his back. He should eventually die from all the abuse.
